“I had always been comfortable using online platforms for communication, but when the pandemic hit and schools were forced to move to online learning, I found myself struggling with the new demands of remote teaching. That’s when I discovered a tech training provider that offered a course in the use of Canvas LMS, an online learning management system that many schools were using to deliver their courses remotely.

The training provider was incredibly thorough in their approach to teaching Canvas, starting with the basics and working up to more advanced features. They were patient and responsive to questions, and their materials were clear and easy to understand. I was able to work through the course at my own pace, and the provider even offered live support sessions for anyone who needed additional help.

Thanks to the training provider, I was able to get the most out of Canvas LMS and deliver high-quality remote instruction to my students. I learned how to create engaging content, set up discussion boards, and give quizzes and assignments. I also learned how to track student progress and provide feedback in real-time, which was invaluable during the pandemic.”

“Your ‘Take a Risk’ idea of using sport to help them revise made their learning fun, competitive and above all memorable. It was a great example of taking a lesson outside of the classroom and making revision an active rather than a passive task” – SLT

The highlight of my teaching career has been the positive feedback I have received about lesson content and engagement. I endeavor to make training and lessons enjoyable whilst breaking the stereo types associated with computing. Through differentiation of resources and extensive knowledge of the curriculum I teach the required academic knowledge whilst making it applicable to real-world scenarios. To support this I use a range of tools including interactive quizzes, coding platforms and more. My primary pedagogy, gamification, ensures that the learner has a clear understanding of how their learning is structured, the goals they intend to achieve and most importantly, how they reach them.
